Stelvio ECU error 27 and 31

So I am blowing the injector fuses. Every ten kilometers or so. Pop a new one in, run fine for another 10k or so. Got home from my latest outing by running through all the 15 amp fuses I had. Finally had to use a buddy's 25 amp fuse. And finally blew that too. Any suggestions on where to...

Stelvio ECU error 27 and 31

Thanks folks, will do both. We had been running through showers for a couple of hours too, if that makes a difference.

Stelvio ECU error 27 and 31

After three days and a lovely 1800 kilometers of twisty mountain roads, my Stelvio decided to take a bit of a break on the side of the highway. We're home now (on a flatbed) but I've got a service icon and the following error codes: ECU Error Code 27 Injector 1 C.C. Gnd ECU Error Code 31...

    Poor idle problem solved.

Hmmm, I've just had my two year service and she's not idling so well when cold. I think I've some checking to do...

New Guzzi guy in British Columbia

The Lemans are all in Chilliwack. It's infested with 'em :-). I see another Guzzi a few times a year here in Vancouver. Nice V7 Sport and 850 Lemans along with some V11's at the recent bike meet, though I didn't meet the owners... All that said, if anybody in Western Canada knows of a T3, G5...

    Newb Intro and Laminar Lip

5' 11" here. The Givi screen has been working well for me. A bit of buffeting but I find it depends on which direction the wind is coming from (along with all the other variables folks have mentioned here). I do have a RF1100 and not only forget to put in earplugs on occasion, I forget to put...

Pacific Yamaha - how's their Guzzi maintenance?

Pacific was fine when I had my R1200S. Friendly bunch and everything went AOK. Another option would be RMR Suspensions (http://www.rmrsuspensions.com/). A number of people I know go to them for setup. And another shout out for Gord at Valley Yamaha. He's worked fixes on both my Guzzi's when...

    More Good News!

It was all pretty easy for me. Bought 2009 Stelvio used. Brought it into my dealer for first (to me) service and, as far as Piaggo knew, it had never been sold. Scanned and e-mailed in a PDF of the original invoice to dealer and got my warranty items attended to. Super easy.

    Warranty and Registered Bikes

Thanks Dan, I'm assuming the recall was done too. Alex actually saw the documentation at one point, but the dealer kept it. The inspection is likely for legal reasons I'd suspect (being a major deal). No biggie, as it's got to go in for a 20k servicing shortly anyway. As to "being properly...

    Warranty and Registered Bikes

Bikes from Montreal may be similarly affected. As far as Piaggo was concerned, my used Stelvio (that just travelled across the country) was still sitting in a warehouse, unsold. Not only did I have to provide complete documentation, but the bike now has to undergo an inspection to ensure the...

    8V Failure info.

The previous owner of my Stelvio had the recall work done at a (now shuttered ) Quebec dealer before selling the bike to me. When "checking in" at Valley Yamaha not only did they not have any record of the recall being done, but as far as Piaggo knew, the bike had never been sold. The previous...

    Windshield Advice

Found a Givi screen cheapish on EBay and decided to give it a try. I recently rode halfway across Canada (in 2.5 days) and ended up with headaches from all the buffeting no matter how I adjusted the stock screen. The Givi is just a bit taller and, on the highest setting, makes highway life...

    re-called in Canada

A dealership here in Vancouver just mentioned they'd sent a Guzzi to Valley Yamaha for the recall work too. In fact, last time I was there, they were working on another dealership's broken Aprilia. Perhaps I should ride out today and ask Gord what he's doing with all his spare time. Then...

    New Guzzi Dealer in Vancouver

While I don't mind driving out to Valley Yamaha in Chilliwack for servicing, there is no public transit back into Vancouver (nor loaner bikes), making longer fixes a day-long stay in a light industrial district. One of the local BMW dealerships, Pacific, has just started carrying some Guzzi...

    Piaggio rebuilding Canadian dealer network

After going though the trial of a "lemon" Breva, I knew what I was in for with a recently aquired Stelvio and just assumed a few things about Guzzi and motorcycles in general: - Don't buy unless you have a good dealer within range. Goes for any brand. I'm lucky enough to have Valley Yamaha and...

    Turn Signal Lenses

Finally got tired of running around and Friday rush hour was starting to kick in. Nobody local I tried seems to carry much stock in mirrors and what I did find was too short (or, even worse, too round). Called and ordered a set of 1200 Sport units. It'll take a week but they're cheap and I know...

    Turn Signal Lenses

The previous owner of the bike gave that a try and accidentally cracked the glass in the left. I've got the lens innards now (thanks for the offer cgalardi!, but I was trying to get all this done for a weekend ride). Just need to find a suitable replacement mirror in town. The closest Guzzi...

    Quill T3 Exhaust Can

After I put Mistrals on a Breva, I had a ton of popping on decel. Fixing the fueling was part of it, getting rid of all the exhaust leaks helped a lot too (I had them everywhere, header, crossover and at the slip-on). Permatex Copper and a couple of hours later, smooth...

    Turn Signal Lenses

Excellent! After looking at three places today, I couldn't come up with a single filament socket that was close enough to wrangle in. You wouldn't happen to have the NAPA part number for the socket you found, would you? The mirrors are driving me bonkers! It's not just the visibility, it's the...
