My BMC filter will be here next week (part # 373/01). Apparently the same filter as the Aprilia Tuono. I will attempt to post pics of the filter installed with no box top and home-made aluminum retainers.
Scott
Looks like maybe the same filter (accidently) fits the Griso as does the Aprilia?
The BMC part number 373/01 also shows to fit the Aprilia Tuono...hhhmmmm
Wher is the best place to purchase (on-line) a high flow air filter for a 1100 Griso? I have fabricated my own filter retainer (omitting the factory lid) and need a good high performance filter.
Thanks!
Scott
Added pics of BMC filter part# 373/01 (same as Aprilia Tuono) and home made...
I do not know if that will fit the Griso. I will study my filter closer tomorrow...meanwhile, if anyone out there knows if this will work; holler at me, please.
Thanks,
Scott

Here's a question....If you install a fairly open slip-on, is there a benefit to also installing a free breathing filter such as a K&N or BMC? The bike seems to be running ok, even though I do notice some hints of black (rich) exhaust periodically.
Thanks in advance,
Scott
Maybe I am just used to my Ducati and the way I shift it but I like the way the Guzzi behaves without the stepper function. I have never owned any engine (boat, motorcycle or car) that wound down slowly like my Griso did with the stepper. To me, the bike shifts better and is a lot more enjoyable...
On my '07 Griso, I bypassed the stepper motor and this thing runs and idles like an Italian V-twin is supposed too. No more pesky "run-on" and taking a few seconds to settle back down to a normal idle (even when warm)...I have yet to encounter any cold start up issues; so far it fires right up...
