    Front wheel spacer?

But surely "Near Side" and "Off Side" will change depending on whether you drive on the Right Hand side of the road (incorrect) or Left Hand side of the road (obviously the correct one :) )

    2016 mazzochi forks

I know early Stelvios had 50mm dia legs and later ones 45mm, I think the change over was when they went from small tank to big tank, 2012?

    2017 Stelvio NTX ECU disconnected

Load test the battery (or at least monitor its voltage). I've had a cell fail whilst riding, bike ran perfectly but wouldn't restart when I got home, checking battery showed 12.5V when sitting but dropped to about 7V when ignition turned on, high resistance cell.

Is this a main oil seal leak?

The seal/gasket on my '08 Stelvio started to leak at about 40K miles and was dripping from that slot in the bell housing, when the shop disassembled it you could see the gasket had failed so even the dodgy ones could last a significant amount of time. Nearly 20K miles since the fix and no...

    Tik Tik

Check round the exhaust for a little leak. Check the valve clearances. Does the noise go away after a short while in which case it could be the camchain tensioner draining down whilst sitting, if not it could have been assembled incorrectly.

    2014 Stelvio, rear caliper problems

I seem to recall, but don't quote me, that the calipers (or at least the innards) are the same as those used on the BMW 1150GS for which I know there are rebuild sets available. Failing that I'd look at Brembo motorsports outlets as racers often have to rebuild.

    Stelvio purchase

Another job it's worth adding to the list is bleeding the brakes and, especially, the clutch. For some reason the clutch fluid gets really dirty very quickly. Don't let us all put you off its a brilliant, reliable, bike which only needs a little TLC regularly. Enjoy riding it.

    Strange behaviour.

FYI a brief follow up. I noticed that the Forum main page was still playing up and not updating, for instance this morning the latest posts shown were from Tuesday which is when I cleared cache and resaved the bookmark BUT I have 'Disable HTML5 autoplay' installed to prevent annoying video feeds...

    Thanks, seems OK now.

    Strange behaviour.

When I load the forums home page it adresses me as Guest, any of the sub pages I go to use my username almost as if the forum home page is not recognising me. If I try to log in on the Forum Home page it says I'm already logged in. Not a problem just a bit odd.

    2010 Rollerized Stelvio

In terms of day to day use the only thing is a snatchy throttle response at about 3K rpm which can make slow sped, town commuting, an annoyance, very easy to get remapped. Flush clutch hydraulics once a year as the fluid gets incredibly dirty (bleed line under seat), check suspension linkage and...

Stelvio struggle, won't rev over 5000 rpm

Many things can cause this, wiring, the coil itself. I've attached an extract fron the service manual about this error code.

Stelvio struggle, won't rev over 5000 rpm

Small tank, Rollers, I run in 0.1 and ex 0.15mm and have done for 40K miles, no problems and rarely have to make any adjustments.

    Moto Guzzi stelvio ntx

I attached a generic Givi plastic baseplate to the metal arms on the rear of the Stelvio with the aid of a 6mm thick, home made, drilled and shaped, alloy plate which allowed me to locate it where I wanted it and bolt it up securely. 40 K miles and no issues so far. Some people have had...

    2nd battery in parallel

It's much more subtle than this. The current will be determined by the load and the internal resistance of the battery. It's this internal resistance that leads to the battery voltage dropping under load and is what you are testing when you put a battery on a load tester. Adding a second...

    Fork options for Stelvio

I know Doc in the UK has fitted a set of Ducati ones to his ( much modified) Stelvio. Not sure if he comes on here but there is a Stelvio FB group he runs if you wanted to contact him.

    Front Wheel Shenanigans

3M4412 tape is what I used, a 2mm thick foam tape with a, really sticky, glue on the back. Some people seal the end of the spoke with silicone before applying the tape but I didn't find it necessary. Think I paid about £30 for enough to seal 4/5 wheels from a commercial supplier.

    Front Wheel Shenanigans

I sealed the spoked wheels on my Stelvio, using the 3M tape, about 5 years ago, multiple tyre changes since and they still hold air.

Stelvio fork change 09 to later models

I believe early forks are 50mm, later bikes were 45mm

Stelvio front wheel jumping when i'am braking

The rotor is mounted to the carrier by yhe Bobbins and these allow some relative movement, hence the description floating disks. I bought a new pair of rotor/disk combinations (which as far as I know is all you can easily get) as the disk thickness was low (but not yet at the wear limit)...
