Looking for suggestions on V7 accessories / upgrades

+1 on the suspension if you weigh more than the 155-170lbs the stock suspension is designed for. Joe

    Windshield

I too purchased the MG accessories windshield shown above with the brackets. Looks nice on the bike, but at 6'1"+, it provides no wind protection for me at all. Highways on my v7 Stone can be miserable. I was asking Todd the same question the other day. Would love to have a full size...

    V7 Fork Upgrade

Todd, did you use the 60mm recommended air gap for the Matris kit that you've had such good luck with?

    V7 Fork Upgrade

I just thought many would benefit from the question, since there are so many threads around the forks. I've seen lots of folks with the emulators which seem pretty pleased with the results, and it seems as though the RaceTech's have lots of adjustability (hi-lo compression, rebound, etc.)...

    V7 Fork Upgrade

Does anyone know the difference between the Matris fork kit, the Mupo fork kit, and the Racetech emulators for the v7 kaifa forks? Looks like the Matris kit only includes a preload adjustment and a new spring specific to your weight? Do the Mupo and Racetech have emulators, but the Matris does...

    Larry B's 2013 V7 chronic-als

Sorry I don't have enough knowledge to really comment on the fueling questions. I did notice the surges, and the reflash did help. I still let it warm up a little (60 seconds or so), but I consider that normal for a bike. I've had a blast on the bike. The suspension has really been my only...

    V7 Fork Upgrade

Interestingly, what I find most difficult for me, is to tell exactly what is occurring when I go over the large bumps. Can't tell if it is an issue with the forks or not. For example, the forks hit, but don't rebound fast enough before the back hits, etc. Hard to troubleshoot and fix when I...

    V7 Fork Upgrade

Thanks for the information! There is definitely a lot to learn. I just purchased the Racetech Suspension Bible to help get me started!

    V7 Fork Upgrade

Does anyone know the proper oil level for the v7 stone kaifa forks (#mm air gap as measured from the top of the fork to the top of the oil? Joe

    Norge Replacement

Nothing in particular. I was just looking for a larger bike to travel with versus the v7 Stone I have, and I thought the current Norge was older. My mistake. Got to see one at a dealer, and he said it was new as of 2013 model year. Very, very, pretty bike. Unfortunately probably not a...

    Larry B's 2013 V7 chronic-als

Hi Larry, He did not. All was left as stock. I had just asked for a reflash since I had seen some posts where folks noticed a difference with the 2014 maps. Surges at low speed would drive me crazy. Joe

    Larry B's 2013 V7 chronic-als

I had a similar problem with my 2013 v7s. Last week I had the dealer flash the bike with new fuel mappings, and the difference was significant. No more surging on start up, and much better torque through the mid range than before the update. Joe

No, we don't know any info, or no one isn't coming?

    Norge Replacement

Does anyone know if there is a Norge replacement coming (and the potential timeline)? I am looking for a bigger bike than the v7, but the Norge needs some updating before I would consider it ...

What fuel to use in a 2013 V7

The reason I was told about the premium gas sitting in the tanks at the station was that when guzzi bikes come in with problems, they were almost always due to gummed up injectors tied to premium gas that has been sitting too long, so I should never, ever, use premium gas. Joe

What fuel to use in a 2013 V7

Hi everyone, I'd like to get your thoughts on two questions: What is the recommendation regarding fuel additives for keeping the injectors clean? With my v7 stone I was told to never use premium gas due to how long it sits in the tanks at the station. Therefore I use 89 octane. We do not...
