I definitely won't try to steer the choice North because my spring is jam packed with stuff so I'm not sure I can even make it, but I'm going to start following this page again and do my best to get out for a V7 ride at some point. I live North of Fresno, but would come down for a ride if I can...
For a guy who has lost touch with this group, I am happy to see these rides being organized! I would love to come down for a ride and looking forward to hear a date so I can try to organize my schedule.
Not interested in a lower bike with lower pegs, and traction control bothers me simply on principal! Anti lock brakes..... Phoooeeeyy.... Love my 2013, and glad I didn't wait for a "newly updated" model!
Everything went together fine using Todds recommendations that i described previously. Let me tell you, the forks feel so good now!
the cheap and clunky feel is gone and the front end now feels like it should. Solid, reliable, predictable.
I went for a relatively mellow ride to get a feel for...
I'm installing my Matris kit in my Kaifa fork right now and I'm confused.
please help me
oil level 60 mm from the top with spring in and fork EXTENDED or COLLAPSED?
I can't quite figure that part out and have read on here people saying both?
It's got to be collapsed. Otherwise i don't think...
Unfortunately, I purchased Mistral canisters before I discovered this forum, and all of the fantastic offerings! I did look at the Zard exhaust, and I loved the shape, but that badge was the only thing that kept me away from them. I wouldn't have something so tacky looking taking focus away from...
For me, It came down to the fork just feeling cheap. The rest of the bike worked fairly well but it truly feels like some corners were cut when it came to the forks. I'm hoping for a feeling of quality and functionality after i get the Matris kit installed.
Sounds good tonup. With Todds guidance, i have got the Kaifa kit on the way to help bring some good feel to the front. That is where I have been having the most complaint with the bike. Once I get the front installed, i plan on trying to get the bike properly set up. At that point I think I will...
That's good to hear Tonup.... I'm in a similar situation as you were. I was going to start with the front forks and Todd has recommended the appropriate kit for me. I'm assuming that you went with one of the Matris kits on a non adjustable stock fork? You said that you havent gotten around to...
MOToGeezer, That was the exact situation for sure! I can't say enough how pleased I am with the bike, post reflash! Like you, I'm sure I will be still smiling in 20,000 miles!
After about 2500 miles on my 13 V7R, I installed a pair of Mistral exhaust canisters and immediately realized that I needed Todd to rescue me. Although it sounded amazing, performance was worse than it was in stock form. Luckily, I live in central California and was able to take my bike to Todd...
Todd... I know this is an old thread but I need your help. After reading these comments, I KNOW that I need your help now. I just installed a pair of Mistral megaphones (wish I would have learned about your system before yesterday) and now I need your reflash magic on my 13 V7R.
I live in...
