In the European models (Greek at least) there is no such isolated compartment ,the hose goes directly from the lower part of the backbone tube to the sump.
I follow this thread with much interest but somewhere I was lost so I would like to make some things clear. Please help me.
In V7ii's at least two rubber tubes from the rocker covers plug at the backbone tube of the frame.Higher at the backbone tube (towards the steering) plugs another rubber...
It is a blast, much better throttle response, sweet power delivery and no cold start hesitation during throttle opening at all. It's so good from cold you cannot actually tell when the bike has been wormed up.
The best feature is -for me- after approaching a bend and ease at the throttle to turn...
I agree with the last oppinions and that a good dealer makes a lot of difference although I had some issues with my V7ii (see BELLHOUSING LEAK thread).
What to you thing if we started a thread where each one would present the mechanical or electrical problems he had experienced with his V7(or...
A clonking noise is always heard when you press down the handlebars with the frond brake applied. This is due to the floating disc,as abbienormal said.To make sure this is not the cause, place front wheel against an obstacle and do the same thing without applying the front brake ,you should only...
No reason for rush ,the danger is for oil to reach the cluch disc or low gearbox oil level. The worst case here is a friends V7II where oil is dripping from under the engine and there is wetness all round the bellhousing -block connection, still no clutch slip.
No but it's very easy to see, use a flash light and look at the point where the bellhousing (the part of the motor where the clutch is) meets the block (where the two cylinders are) at the botom of the engine, better to use a small mirror .You will see a small rectangular hole there ,which must...
The leak was gear box oil coming from the gear box seal (D32x45x6).The bad thing though is that seal similar to th V7's is a loose fit to the V7II's gearbox recession (you could feel it move before removing it and when fitting a new one.
Piaggio greece has allready made a note to Italy and we...
Thanks for the advise and ideas guys but the bike is going in for a full gearbox stripdown (engine out of the frame) at the local dealer.
Lets hope its just a faulty seal or Luigi's bad day and not a general issue of the V7ii's. I 'll keep you posted for the outcome ,in the mean time check your...
Returning to this subject ,I removed the starter and had a glimpse inside, there seems to be a black residue at the botom of the bellhousing near the drain hole, I cannot say if it is containing oil, water, grease or else, the rest of it seems reasonably clear.
The thing is that looking at three...
