    California 1400 hanging throttle

Update: the hanging throttle problem was becoming worrying. Especially with a hot bike in heavy traffic. The other day the motorcycle did not start in the morning due to lack of battery (I use the motorcycle daily). I have changed the Yuasa battery and have taken the opportunity to put in the...

    Heated handgrip stopped working.

Right heated handgrip stopped working. I cut the welding points to find out where the problem is. As I suppossed it is near the the handgrip, where the accelerating movements finally cut the cooper thread. I hope it to be an easy fixing.

Oil leak through small hole in the middle of the engine block

Hello Chris, yes I finally got the solution. You have to replace 4 gaskets where the spark plugs are in the head unit. Not for beginers because you have to unscrew the tower. Now it's no issue.

Oil leak through small hole in the middle of the engine block

I did compare to the other side and the small hole exists just the same but it is not leaking oil. I wonder if I've lost two screws or it is the way it has to look. I worry about the oil leak in the right side. Any opinion about this issue?.

    Slash cut exhaust end caps.

Thank you John, that´s just what I was thinking to do, probably is the only solution. I wonder if it is a good idea with a Dremel. A little worried to increase weakness in that part. I hope there is enought room to make it safe. Its incredible having to do this in such a expensive part. If I...

    Slash cut exhaust end caps.

There is less than 5 mm clearance between the cap an the case protector (it is recommended between 10 and 15 mm). I try to lower it by loosening the screws behind the rear footrest but what I get is almost nothing.
