Hi Fluff, have you made any progress with a UK supplier of PPF for the Mandello? I've noticed a patch on the tank where my left knee rubs, almost exactly at the tip of your protectors at the rear edge of the head.
I am also in the UK, and my manual stops at page 101. That also probably explains why I can't find the "Advanced Functions" chapter referred to in regards to setting a personal key code. I'll try the download now.
My new V100S, gold wheels, Biondi touring screen, Guzzi head protectors, Hepco and Becker mini rack and sidestand foot extender, Pyramid fender extender and small sump protector, Evotech radiator guard.
I went for the aluminium head protectors. I agree with the comments that they won't do much in a crash, but I only want them to prevent damage from a drop in the garage or low speed manoeuvring. Anything faster is going to be an insurance claim anyway. Picked the bike up today in horrible...
Hi Tebax,
Yes, the bike will be fully insured, and you're right, I'm only looking for for topple over protection at most at walking speed. Like if you lose your footing in a gravel parking area, or maybe manoeuvring out of the the garage. I was still wondering if that protector and footrest will...
Hi all. I collect my V100S in two weeks time, and I've been reading through this forum to determine what accessories to add. I've ordered several items, but one thing I'm still pondering is whether to add any crash protection. I'm really not keen on the look of crash bars on such a beautiful...
I finally got around to buying and fitting some Conti RA3s to my v7ii Racer. The original Sport Demon's had done 2,900 miles, and the handling had noticeably deteriorated. The Sport Demons had always been terrible at following any grooves or joints in the road surface, but recently they had...
My V7 II Racer VIN # ZGULW3004GM200697 DOP 02/11/17
It was a year old and had 236 miles on it when I bought it, did about 2,000 miles last year, hope to add many more in 2018
I've fitted a tail tidy, Mistral long silencers, MUPO cartridge emulators in the forks, Brembo RCS master cylinder, four...
Does that go for feel too? I agree with you that the stock brakes feel wooden, the main thing I want is to get some feel at the lever, does most of the come from the RCS?
Thanks, fitted my Mupo kit last night, all went in OK. I managed to fit the plastic sealing strips around the valve body that others have mentioned having difficulty with. I used some very thin clear plastic sheet from a vacuum formed packaging insert as a liner on the the top threaded part of...
I have a 2016 V7 II Racer with Kaifa forks. I've got Mupo valves on their way to me from Italy. I weigh 162lbs in gear so in the right weight range for the stock springs. When I fit the Mupo emulators should I change the oil to 7.5wt or 5wt AWE, or is that only required for lighter riders trying...
That's good to know, but the problem for the original poster or anyone else in the UK is the cost of import and the poor exchange rate.
Add the price of a tail light, $80 shipping, 8% import duty to the overall price, then 20% VAT, and you get to around $400, at today's rates £327.
I would like...
Hi,
I bought one from Moto Strada, http://motostradaautomotive.com/product/moto-guzzi-v7-aluminium-tail-tidy-ttv7/
It's a bit basic but does the job. I had to drill a few extra holes in it, as I wanted to use the stock indicators so needed holes for the locating bolts, and also to route the...
