Dangerous Issue: Random Kickstand Deployment. Requesting HELP ASAP.

"For such an important little part that keeps the bike from falling 99% of its life, it sure gets a lot of neglect." Here's the thing, I've owned other manufacture's bikes that were 40+ years old and tens of thousands of miles, never ever had an issue with the side stand so I think a bike...

Breva 750 Side stand is possessed.

My side stand just decided to start dropping anytime. The issue is not only is it dangerous but the motor cuts out due to the safety switch. I've had the bike for 5 years and never had the problem but two weeks ago I was out on the country roads when I came back into town the motor just quit. As...

Accessing Breva 750 upper fork clamp Allen bolts

While you have the triple clamp bolts loose and fork tubes out, you might as well change the fork oil. I just did that. Getting the fork tubes out wasn't difficult.

    lowering of a Breva 750

The only thing I know is the Nevada Shocks are made by Sachs and 375mm eye to eye.

removing the transmission from my v-7

Well, maybe I'm one of the lucky ones but after blowing out a lot of dust from the clutch area I haven't heard the clutch squeal/screech sound anymore. I've put a few hundred miles on it since, both city and highway. Knock on wood, fingers crossed!

    lowering of a Breva 750

Hi Arthur, Not really sure what technical info I can give.

removing the transmission from my v-7

Yes, doesn't even have to have the clutch pulled in, just slowing to a stop. Clutch pulled or not doesn't matter. I'm wondering if it's even the clutch and not coming from the front of the motor? Hard to tell when riding but just a theory. Not sure what the charging system looks like or any...

removing the transmission from my v-7

2007 Breva 750. I've owned it for 3 years now. The clutch seems to work great except for the two times I couldn't shift. I adjusted it once when I first got the bike but that's it. I hope it's not tranny problems. The plate itself seems pretty thick if that's what I'm looking at through the...

removing the transmission from my v-7

Thanks! Wow that seems like a lot of work to replace a clutch. I've replaced clutches on Hondas and that seems like a walk in the park compared to Guzzis. I'm not quite to the point of replacing yet. I developed a squealing sound when decelerating to a stop. I blew the dust out of the clutch...

removing the transmission from my v-7

I searched for "crabbing the frame" and this is the post that popped up. Can someone post a current pic that isn't 11 years old and long gone or a sticky on what exactly crabbing the frame looks like please? It's not in the workshop manual. Thanks.

    lowering of a Breva 750

I know this is a 10 year old post but the topic is relevant. I lowered my Breva 750 by putting Nevada Classic shocks on it. They are 7/8" shorter and with a roughly 45 degree angle and more sag at the softest setting, the Nevada shocks lower the bike an inch when sitting on it. Also lowering the...

Breva 750, 145,000 miles, Long Distance Information.

Well, that's inspiring! I bought my 2007 Breva two years ago with 3500 miles on it thinking this thing should last me a while. After reading this, it may out last me!

    Silly question about Breva trans

Thanks for the clarification. The bike runs as good as can, I'm just used to more powerful motorcycles that's all. 48hp in a 750 cc seems anemic to me. Another 15hp wouldn't hurt. But over all I like the bike, it's a great city bike and country road bike but interstate slab travel its lacking...

    Silly question about Breva trans

Funny, but I read a review on the breva750 and the author/test rider said the 2004-2006 came with a 6spd then in 2007, a 5spd. Maybe he didnt really research the Breva. Fake news! :) In my honest opinion, I feel the bike needs an extra gear when passing. In 5th it doesn't have a lot of snap...

    Silly question about Breva trans

Are early Breva750 transmissions 6spd? If so, was there anything wrong with them? Will they bolt on a newer Breva 750? I always feel like my 2007 5spd needs an extra gear between 4 and 5. Just a thought.

Transmission and Rear Drive change by local mechanic

If you add more than recommended it will leak all over your garage floor. Read the owner's manual and you will know all the specifications.

Breva 750: What hose is this?

#6 & #10 in the diagram http://www.harpermoto.com/parts-lookup/2000-2009-moto-guzzis/breva-ie-750-2003-2009/fuel-vapour-recover-system-en-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9.html Could probably replace it with generic vacuum line. I think I'll check mine to make sure the battery isn't leaking all over it.

Power Commander III install, Breva 750

So i got home after a 20 miler RT commute. The motor was hot. I checked the plugs and as expected they were as white as when I put them in. So it's runnning lean and hot which would explain the hard starting and bad idling and possibly the decel popping. I reloaded the MAP with nothing in it...

Power Commander III install, Breva 750

Yep, the bone stock MAP stock intake, exhaust, Lambda bypass sensor. Seems to me it should be fixable, I just don't know what numbers to plug in for the idle portion, if it even affects the idle.

Power Commander III install, Breva 750

Already spent $hundreds, not spending more $hundreds . If there is no easy solution I'll just remove it and go back to stock. I thought it would make it run better at top end but if I have to sacrifice idling it's not worth it.
