Thanks for saving me from embarassment! (then again the last bike i dropped was not because the sidestand didn't work, it was because I forgot to put it down... )
No lost bolts just loose bolts, now with some loctite to hold them. The lower of the 2 doesn't feel very good when...
Had the bike nearly 2 years, and while doing an oil change today I noticed the whole sidestand assembly is loosely mounted... Never paid any attention to it before.. is it supposed to be this way?
Just removed my throttlemeisters from my 1200 sport due to the installation of stelvio handguards... now I just need to come up with a throttlelock solution... I don't really understand why the handguards and stelvio bar ends have to be "slotted". Not sure what difference it would really...
Re: Norge Fuel Mileage
Glad to hear that. I am currently getting around 55mpg on the 1200 sport and liking it! One of my concerns about the PCV ECU change has been mileage, so if I can still get 250 miles to a tank I won't consider that a con to the change.. now just to see if i can find the...
Only dealer that comes to mind up that way is Kahuna (near steeles and 400)... think I did see a Benelli in the showroom there a couple of years ago..
Took BMW toronto a week to get back to me on parts I needed and then they said it would be nearly 2 weeks until they came in. Fair enough, I...
Is there a chance one of these half plastic filters may have made it into my 2008 2v 1200 Sport tank?
Guessing that would be something to swap out before leaving it sitting in fuel for the winter...
Can't vouch for the breva bags you speak of but I have the Norge bags on my 1200. I think the problem really comes down to not enough pressure at the main latch.. They probably fit just about as well as the breva bags from the sound of it, but they do look nice :D My bags leak when I wash...
Yup I am kind of in a similar boat...
I just live a little closer to the pseudo-dealer... The parts guy did call me today promising to call me back with a price... that was more than 4 hours ago..
But anyways, one of the selling points for me on the Guzzi was the fact that the regular...
Well I visited BMW Toronto this weekend.
When I finally got to speak to someone at the parts counter...
Oh for bike parts you normally have to go around the back, but they aren't open weekends.... Anyways, she then tried to help...

Me: A Moto Guzzi

No Cory,
I'm the guy who bought the 1200 sport from MI and rode it back a couple of weeks after you did the same with the Stelvio :D
If I have time I am going to try and stop in there tomorrow morning, but with no service on Saturdays, I'm not sure it will accomplish anything.
Interesting... My right bar has a noticeable buzz and the mirror is barely useable on the highway, while the left is amazing... so vibe free... Having said that the brake lever rattles and bounces pretty merrily, I've never seen anything like it. Mebbe I will fiddle with it before I try...
