    Helmet

Terribly simple question. Is there an easy way to lock my helmet to the bike ? I don't see anything easy under the seat. What does everyone else do other than carry it or a cable. 2011 V7R. Thanks.

    Save the Racers Tail

Enjoyed reading this thread having a 2011 V7R. My only modification so far was to change the mirrors with bar end Rizoma's. With much chatter in the past I looked at removing the rear cowl, but you know what, I like it. I had the "opportunity" to change a few parts recently after having to...

    Superbowl Maserati commercial

Anyone notice the Moto Guzzi engine that flashed on the screen for about a second ? I'm not an expert, but it's not the small block.

Anyone see the Cafe Racer TV episode

Where they compared 5 "cafe racers" on the drag strip ? A Ducati, 2 Triumphs, and an HD. The V7R came in last of course. They claimed the V7R had 40 HP. The comparison was with bikes with HP over 100.

    I never noticed this before

On my 2011 V7R, when I turn the key on, dash lights go on, headlight goes on, tach and speedo needles move, hear fuel pump sound?, and then the headlight goes very dim after about 2 secs. Goes back on when bike starts. Is that normal ? Thanks.

    2013 V7 Stone Vs. 2012 V7 Racer

Mine was way to high as well. There's a way to "fine tune" the shifter, it but it wasn't enough. I have to adjust the linkages. BTW, I know what you mean about Italian cars, I have a '95 164 as a daily driver.

    2013 V7 Stone Vs. 2012 V7 Racer

Thanks for your review. Love your line: Finding first from neutral is just as much fun and Guzzi-like as ever.

    Tubes

I was looking under my 2011 V7Racer today and noticed a clear tube and a black tube but they both were capped ! I'm sure one is from the battery, what is the other and should they be capped ? Thanks. Also, there seemed to be two oil drain plugs, one on each side ?

    Cold Blooded?

Just follow the directions in the owners manual. Fast idle on full, half throttle, and it starts right away. Drive off with fast idle on. Turn off in 3 - 5 mins.

    Cheap Mod - Looks Great!

Look at the turn signals on the 2013 European version. The lenses are clear. I think they look great.

Anyone know what kind of mirror this is ? Thanks.

2012 V7 Racer or OOPS Have I Made A Mistake?

One of the motorcycle mags just tested the new 2013 V7Racer. The claimed HP is 50, which is only up two from the previous years. The new engine just looks a bit plain to me.

    V7 Racer production number

Full dealer page. Doesn't always work however. http://www.motorcyclemall.com/2012-Moto ... =1787&fm=1

    V7 Racer production number

In the US, I have a 2011 V7 Racer number 029. I don't know exactly how many are in the US. For 2012, a dealers website states there will be 150, though who knows. Moto Guzzi has captured the essence of that magical moment in time from over three decades ago, and reinterpreted it with the...

Guzzi NO SHOW @ SF International Motorcycle Show

No show in NY as well. Just a well used 2011 V7 Racer, serial #2.

    New smallblock motor?

Certainly a fan of more horsepower and low oil consumption and easier cold starting, but the new motor does nothing for me. Way too generic looking. It's like today's automobile engines with the plastic cover over it. I wouldn't have bought my V7 Racer if it had the new engine.
