Bike's just had its 4000 mile service and all running great. Had it out yesterday, did about 30 miles, pulled into the pub and when I went to start her up again - nothing.
Ignition key was sending the gauges through the normal "needle flick and all lights on" routine but after flashing on the...
I really shouldn't embarrass myself like i'm about to on a public forum but here goes. I drilled the holes to the size of the fixing bolts not the rack fixing points - hadn't considered that the rack sunk into the rear section doh!
Just drilled them out again with an 18mm wood bit and...
Picked up the rear rack for the Griso today and slavishly followed the instructions including the removal of the tail section and drilling the 2x20mm holes only to find after the re assembly that the rack will not fit! The drilled holes are in the right spot because they're pre marked underneath...
Re: Griso Picture Thread
With the Rizoma mirrors, carbon front fender, instrument gauge, rear hugger and heat shield. Also carbon Quill Evo 2 exhaust and the SE saddle.
Anyone out there managed to fit these to an 8V? The fixed bolts on the Rizomas are 8mm and the bracket on the bike is 6mm, it can't be bored out because the flange is too thin and also the fixed bolts are too short. Anyone know of an adaptor available to fit them??
Thanks,
Re: Griso Picture Thread
Are those adaptors that your riz indicators are screwed into? if so can you let me know where you found them, i've got a set of Avios but they're 8mm and the Griso stock indicator thread is 6mm, I need a 6 > 8 adaptor.
Thanks
The centre section isn't leather, it's made of some kind of synthetic stuff but the rest of the saddle is. Even Guzzi describe it as "premium leather". I've treated mine and if it isn't real leather then it's a bloody good imitation. Overall it's a great looking addition to the black bike.
Bizarre, after a good half hour of trying and failing to get the damn thing off I gave up, went back to it an hour later and pop, it opened right up!
:?:
Ok nothing's ever easy. Got the brown saddle, after a bit of a struggle it went on but now the key won't release it! Key goes in, turns ok but the catch isn't releasing, it may be that the release post isn't engineered exactly the right way but it's now stuck. Is there another way of releasing...
Shows how much I know about my own bike, I didn't realise the 1100 and the 8V had different saddle designs. Good to know about the SE saddle though, I might have to see if I can find one.
Thanks again,
Anyone out there know whether the brown leather SE saddle will fit the 08 8V without mods? I think that dark brown leather will look awesome with the black paint on my 8V.
Thanks
First - hello all, new to this forum so be gentle with me if I ask stupid questions!
I've recently taken delivery of a 2 year old Griso 8V and it's my first Guzzi, in love already! Bike is near perfect condition apart from the bar ends are a bit beaten up and the stock mirrors have seen better...
