Looking for a replacement for the right hand tie bar on my old Cali . Just one of the tie bars has excessive play in the little brass bush . The bit I am looking for is the nasty plastic connection from the centre crank out to the throttle body , the bit that opens the throttle butterfly . I am told by UK Guzzi spares people that the tie bar isn't available and before I start to make up new linkages from rose joints and stainless rod , I thought I would ask if anyone here knew of a source . Maybe the V11 uses something that would do the job ?

I don't know of another source but Todd might. Do note the original length of the rod as that dimension is critical.

Thanks John. There’s several threads on these here. You can check a local Euro car parts shop for a ball joint (M6x1.0 - standard and reverse threads needed).
If you hit a dead end. I can get below for you in stainless, matched set for $40 + shipping. Contact me direct email if so; Todd at GuzziTech.com

Thanks for all that , I can easily source ball joints here , I made my own gearchange linkages using rose joints and stainless rod and that is what I will do for my throttle tie rods .
Incidentally, when I tried to start my bike after the worst of the winter had past ,it fouled it's plugs . A chap our side of the pond told me that the fueling is bad on the marrelli 8 ecu and they are prone to overfueling and mucking up the plugs at low temperatures ,quite the revers of the 1.5 fitted to my last two Ducatis . New plugs fixed it ,oh and a rise in temperature .

Hi, Drumnagorrach. I'm reading everything I can find on the Cali 1100i/P8, trying to find a solution to my overfueling problem. I'm getting 35mp(imp)g, and the plugs are mostly black. The engine doesn't smooth out at higher revs, and despair is setting in. I have run Guzzidiag, and all the sensors seem to be reading reasonable numbers. I've set the TPS to every different (and there are a few!) value I've found on the net, and synced it to within an inch of its life. Apart from an H-Pipe, all is stock (AFAIK).

Did the chap say any more about the overfuelling? Did he suggest a fix? Is he someone I could contact for more info?

Thanks!

Paul
