I've got an "ECU disconnect" message on my '12 Norge. The 30 amp fuse is good and I've got .2 ohms to ground at the ground wire on the ECU. I'm trying to clean/reseat the two ECU connectors, but can't figure out how to remove them? Any advice or links to how to remove these connectors would be much appreciated. Thanks.

There is a latching bail that has to be released. The latch lever is pulled back to release the connector. When connecting the connector it is aligned and inserted and when you flip the bail it seats the connector. While you have the connectors off use some contact cleaner to improve connections. I suggest you remove the ground wire and clean the connection at the ECU. That connection is key to ECU survival.

Thanks, John. I found a picture of the connectors engaged and released and see how it works now. I'll take your advice on cleaning that ground connection/ECU pins. If my ECU is dead, do you know of a source of one that won't be an arm and a leg?

I don't know of a source other than from Guzzi. I believe other manufactures use the 5AM ECU but may use different pin outs. You could try to get one from a damaged Guzzi, but on a used part there is no guarantee.

I think I have a Norge ECU I can sell you. Contact me direct email only; Todd at GuzziTech.com
