Hi gang
While my Stelvio is in the shop I have had a couple of lender bikes;
KTM 990 SM-T
MG 1200 Sport 4v
I must say I dont see what all the fuss is about the KTM, IT feel cheap has a crappy piant scheme and vibrates.
When you gun it, it feels like the top is bouncing and the chain is about to pop off.
Now the new 09 1200 sport what a classy feel it has in comparison.
The general finnish is very good and the engine is a peach.
It feels very diferent to my 1000mile Stelvio.
The engine in general is much quieter, not just the top but the whole thing. It also feels sweeter, a lot less vibration all all speeds.
The bottom end pull is sweeter too, 5th gear roll on from 3000revs to illegals speeds is smooth and easy.
It is also more ecconomical, a lot less thirsty.
Overall I wish I could have that motor in my Stelvio Please, please mr Guzzi.
Go test one you will not be dissapointed, as for the Ktm I would save
