The side stand on my US 1200S was grinding in corners and I am happy to report that the euro stand has solved the problem. The euro stand lacks the curve of the US version and thus is tucked in a lot better. The stay must be changed as well.
The US version is a monstrosity in comparison. The stand and stay swap netted a 2.83 lb. (1284 gram) weight savings.
The next thing to drag is footpegs or possibly the bottom of the silencer but that's not likely to happen until bumpy corner exit headshake is cured with some suspension mods or schooling.
