Hi. I wish to replace the original 80mm speedo on my 1976 T3 (Customised!) with an aftermarket cable-drive 60mm one. Could anyone tell me the ratio? Mine has the original manufacturer's sticker, but it's so old and faded that I can't decypher it.
Cheers Chris.

A far as I know all early Veglia (Vague Liar)have a ratio of 1 revolution per metre which is what the sticker should say.
Not sure about the later type.
Also depends on your speedo drive as well, as some models have different types, have a read in Guzzology there is some info.

Thanks Brett. You're absolutely right! The readable part of the sticker on my speedo says 1610 per ****something! So as there are 1609 metres in a mile that's near enough.

My brain hurts! :? If one revolution of my rear wheel is 2.0metres (Near as) that means there are 2 revolutions of the speedo drive per one revolution of the wheel.

Hence a ratio of 2 to 1. Right?

Cheers Chris.
