hey folks,

Just noticed after a ride to work that my GT 2-2 exhaust left muffler was right up against the lower left shock bolt. It wasn't like that before and not sure what's going on. Didn't have time to inspect much so thought I'd post here to see if anyone had any suspicions of what it could be. I did adjust the preload for 2 up this past weekend so maybe that had something to do? Not sure. Will have to inspect later tonight. Thanks.

You can write me direct for simple questions such as this (since I'm the one that builds them) ;) -- they are purposefully built with some movement, because without it, exhaust components will crack/break. I suggest loosening everything, and re-position to allow plenty of clearance (a lot of adjustment in the crossover pipe), and you can pull the mufflers into position with plenty of clearance... then re-tighten everything. If you have any other questions/issues, write me direct.

Gotcha Todd. Thanks for the reply. I figured it was most likely just an adjustment issue.

Get the exhaust hot, and use steel wool to rid 99% of it... then use a cleaner for the rest. Someone also wrote that oven cleaner works well too (never tried it personally).
