Hey all!

IM new here actually trying to help out my father on fixing this V11 we bought from a friend who was having the final fight with cancer to help cover their costs ideally for the wife to hopefully buy back someday when the time was right...

Well the time didn't ever become right and he passed away Rest In Peace. But The injectors seem to be gummed up as when we fuel in the plugs it runs fine but then burns out as no new fuel is coming in.

I have worked on some bikes and used to race but I just need to get access to get these things cleaned out or soaked etc.

I have syphoned all the gas so far that was inside the tank but now need to pull these injectors.
Can anyone help me out? Or show me a site that shows how?

Sorry for the backstory just trying to get it running again for my father and there arent many guzzi techs around here in Minneapolis MN that are willing to do it for under a million franks.

Thanks guys and its just "Green" V11 with the red frame and brembos etc I believe its a 2002.

Welcome to the Forum. Limey green would be either '00 or '01 only.

From memory, there's a bracket with two bolts that hold the injector into the socket. Once they are off, it's friction fit via rubber o-ring... so just pull out. Best to have the throttle bodies off the bike as one assembly, do *not* take them off the brackets/linkages (no need).

For cleaning, soaking them won't do, best to send them out and have them cleaned and tested at a place like here (I recommend this one); http://www.rceng.com/Fuel-Injector-Cleaning-P43C0.aspx

Sorry to hear about the previous owner, but glad to hear it found a good home.

Post again/often.

It certainly could be clogged fuel injectors, but have you checked the more basic things like does the fuel pump run when you first turn the key and does it pressurize the fuel rail?

I've been using Greg Moon at Moon's super cycle in Milwaukee to clean my injectors. He has a web site and he's a little closer to you. I've used him several times with good service and fair pricing. Thx, Dave.

I had a similar problem on a Ducati that i let sit too long First problem was the fuel pump. Once that was fixed both injectors were stuck. I pulled them off the bike and using another battery verified that they were stuck. Then a couple of light taps with a plastic hammer freed them up. I never had to take them down to the place here that cleans injectors and bike ran fine after that.

Greetings, Sorry to hear about the passing of your friend.

It may be more that just stuck/unstuck. The injectors have a tiny, little cone-shaped filter screen inside the supplyside opening that can gum up pretty easily with rust, bad gas, etc.

RC Engineering (as linked to above) is a great deal for $25 ea. They basically rebuild them & give you the before/after flow data. Fast turn around, too.

Make sure your injectors are getting voltage, too. Cheers!
