Hi

On Friday I will be trading my norge after 4 years of owning it. Some things I love about the bike others things I hated.
Thanks so much for all the valuable info I learned about these motorcycles but more importantly what I learned about the People who own and love these bikes!

Thanks again
Mike

A nice machine. Stupid fast. Well, I would certainly be stupid and fast on it.

I rode an '10 (?) at Virginia rally in 2010, and almost dropped Kathi off the back a few times taking her to the Lynchburg airport. I also found the C14 much heavier in turns than my Norge, and thought it a handful in the hills. But, even if still the case in newer models, if you aren't "in love" with the Norge, well, that doesn't matter much. Besides, if you mostly do LD work and little in the tight stuff, the Concours is a winning beast.

I'm drunk on Guzzi kool-aid, but if you don't drink so much, you made a fine choice. ;)

Best wishes with it.

Bill

Congrats on your new purchase. As the others have said the GTR is a great bike. I test rode the 2009 and the 2012 model. Coming from an FJR it was too similar to me (and I wanted to slow down, that this is a rocket). As Bill said, its a handful. Having said that, it handles well, but I'd hate to get into trouble on it, man its a big bike. But then at 230 off KG's I'd hate to lose control of the Norge as well.
Best of luck. Make sure you come back after a few months and give us your differences thoughts
