Just got it firing!
Just bought this bike and really loving it, but I am 6'4" and need to install some highway pegs. Have been looking but not having any luck . Can anybody recommend where or who might make some

Yes, I have to mount on the front roll bar. The diameter is also 1 3/16", but with the wind deflectors on the roll bar the clamp has to be mounted on the horizontal part of the bar. The rubber strip sounds like would work just fine. Thanks for help.Dennis,
Are you intending to mount the pegs on the front roll bar? If so, what is the diameter? I have a California 1400 and discovered that even though the bike was designed in the U.S. they decided, for some odd reason, to make the front roll bar 30mm diameter (1 3/16" diameter). So, when I looked for pegs/clamps I found clamps for 1" diameter bars and clamps for 1 1/4" diameter bars. Of course, we are in the U.S. where we are still stupid enough to use the inch/pound system. I ended up buying Kuryakyn Longhorn Highway Pegs with the 1 1/4" clamps. I used a 1/16" thick strip of rubber under the clamp to get it to snug up on the MG front roll bar.

MG did away with the roll bar wind deflectors on the California 1400. But, since you do have them, would it make sense to trim out a small section to provide clearance for the highway peg clamps? This might let you get them located in the most useful position.
Thought about modifying or removing the lowers, but the riding season is short enough around here and they do help when the temps get low. Just doesn't feel right to cut them. Kuryakan makes a set called the right angle mount that should work and going to order today. Thanks for all your comments. Not many Guzzi's on the road up here and now know where to go when I need some advice. Thanks again.Or just take the wind deflectors off and put them on the shelf. Rode EVs without them for years with no problem.

I like these highway pegs for my 1998 EV11. Not sure if they will fit your 2009, but you could call Harpers and find out.
