2011 Stelvio valve clearances

Careful.
0.10mm (in) and 0.15mm (ex) are the settings for A5 motor.
0.10mm (in) and 0.20mm (ex) are the settings for A8 motor.
Take a look at the engine number - it'll say A5 or A8 in front of the actual number.
It is not smart to get the valve clearances set for the wrong engine.
A 2011 should be A8 but check nevertheless.
Gordon

I am sorry that I forgot that I am in an US forum.

european 2011 model is NE US 2011 model

my numbers 0.10 and 0.15 valve clearances are only for european 2011 = US 2012 models.

the others I don't know, sorry.

Just had a look at my engine number. It begins "AC",not with a number.Any ideas?

Stromcat,

I found follwoing in french guzzi forum

- 1200 Griso jusqu'à 2010= Moteur A5
- 1200 Griso 2010 > = Moteur A8
- 1200 Sport 4V = Moteur A7
- 1200 Stelvio jusqu'à 2009 = Moteur A5
- 1200 Stelvio 2009 - 2010 = Moteur A8
- 1200 Stelvio 2011 = Moteur AC
- 1200 Norge 8V = Moteur AA

then it should be the same as mine, 0.1 (intake) and 0.15 (exhaust) mm
if your picture shows your Stelvio, then it's the same as mine, european MY2011 and these clearances 0.1 and 0.15 are definitly ok.

PS: but please note, these are also european MY names above, US models may differ 1 year

hi strom cat spoke to haywards about mine ac engine number and 0.1 and 0.15 are the figures they gave me when i checked mine at 3 thousand miles the exhaust had tighten a bit inlet still the same but made quite a difference to the way it ran seemed even smoother. had quite a bit of condensation in the covers i am going to check them myself before it goes in for its 6000 so im certain their right
