I recently picked up a 2012 V7c 1400 miles on the clock, runs and rides great. However, I have noticed the following day of riding there are trace amounts (maybe dime size) of oil under evap canister?

See pics. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks.

Probably nothing to worry about just keep an eye on it for awhile & check the oil level regular.

Not sure on the V7 small block's but all the big blocks I ever owned if I filled the crank case to the full mark on the dipstick in a few hundred miles it would drop half way between the full line & the add line & stay there until the next oil change.

I have heard that the small blocks use a bit of oil so you may want to get in the habit of pulling the stick before each ride.

The V7's are a nice machine & I'm sure you will have many miles of smiles on it.

That is what I was kind of thinking too. I did my first oil change the other day and made sure I wiped everything clean after, but I did notice this a couple weeks ago as well. It appears to be coming down on those hoses, not sure where those are connected?

I hope one of the V7 owners will jump in.

I'm not sure where those hoses connect up.

Could be coming from the oil sump return line. Check that connection into the sump. I removed that bolt and replaced the washer seal and added a dab of silicon to the threads.
