Will these ever come out? Is it simply a moot point given the design for the later v7s? Sucks because would rather have that than engine guards or sliders.

Nylon sliders mounted to the heads might work well - they would cushion any drop so the cylinder studs would be less likely to become bent. Just needs someone to come up with a design - a lot of bikes out there!

The '13+ larger valve cover design makes it a moot point really, but one could be done with enough interest. In my experience, these original "plug" guards" (what they originally for on the big blocks because of the angled out plug and wire placement)... barely did their job when needed, and usually took out the valve covers, bolts and on occasion sometimes even the head castings around the valve cover bolts, in addition to destroying the wire and spark plug. Clearly not an issue on the V7 motor, but if your intent is on protecting the cylinders and valve covers, I'd bite the bullet and put crash bars on. Only solid protection IMO.

Hi Todd,
I tried the MG crashbars and they instantly gave me a vibration patch that was not there before - so they were returned (and the vibration went with their removal).
I think that there are Agostini ones available but I have not seen them??
Or is there any other alternative?

I hear ya Todd. Just have to get over the fact that these engine guards will be there, sticking out in all their glory. But yea, like others have said...would like ones that don't have this vibration issue folks are talking about, but also have a clean look. Someone posted that he had to reweld the frame somewhere because the vibration cracked it or something!? What the...

I have a set of the MG cycle crashbars, and they do not add vibration to my bike. They were the least expensive of all the ones out there and do not look bad on my bike. It's a two piece design, and pretty minimal. Not the type that goes around the cylinder and head, just stick out enough to protect the heads in case I drop it.

I put the Agostini bars on my '14 stone. From AF1. I like how they look, pretty unobtrusive.
