Well I have most of the parts I need so cancel everything else and let's get this season started!

Need the heads and then to the dyno...

You could also try an 850 bored out.

I was considering running an 850 Lemans Guzzi in P-PP. It would hafta run in 1000 class. The rules state that you can increase the displacement up to the class size. In my opinion that means an 850 bored to 1000 runs in 1000 class ... P-PP as well.

Since you are going to make extreme modifications anyhow, why not start with a cheaper frame/drive train combo like a T3 or something? The frames, for our pourposes, are the same. The gearing, rear end gears, forks, etc will be modified to suit anyhow. The engine case and trans case etc are the same in the older units. If you want to put in big oil pump you are going to hafta machine a bit anyway anyhow.Exotic cylinders, rods, heads tuning, crank (Titainium anyone?) etc will require care and thought no matter what you start with.

Picked up a virgin Megacycle 620x8 cam from Ed Milich yesterday... Megacycle stuff is spendy (IMHO) but it IS beautiful indeed.

The beat goes on...

It's a next year project so there's time..Low volume cams are always expensive. I had cams reground to different profiles when working on vintage OHV push rod inline 6 auto engines because there were no new hi performance cams.A regrind can't be too radial but depending on the stock cam there's something to be gained for not all that much cost.Just have to send a cam out to see if anything can be done with it.
