I had an overnight visit from a V7 Racer last night, and I gave it a once-over from top to bottom... even connected the Centurion to it to verify, yes... it uses the new Marelli MIU ECU.
Everything is certainly more tidy and the 2-1 intake to single throttle body positions the tiny filter under the seat for easy access. It ran the same as the V7 Stone I just tested last week. Very poor cold start symptoms, but ran OK with no easily detectable F.I. glitches during normal running.

A few snaps:

I picked mine up today and although I haven't put more than a few miles on it, it beats the crap out of my (former) V7 Café. The dealer said his V7 Stone sputtered a bit and acted cold whereas my V7 Racer was spot on. It may be the luck of the draw or something. I'm quite pleased with it.

Very poor cold start symptoms,
At what temperatures are you experiencing the difficulties? I've not had any trouble with my V7-S with 45°to 60°F (7° to 15°C) over the last month.

Todd, You got more picture for the Racer with the fairing kit? its the first "real" pic i see.

Just took delivery of my '13 Racer. Thank you Jim at Rose Farm! Went for a short and cold but throughly enjoyable ride. Having been a rider of an old ironhead HD Sportster and a couple of 2V Ducati's, I'd have to say I'm really impressed with every part of the Guzzi experience thus far and really looking forward to next spring and hopefully catch one or two nice days before its time for the snowblower  .

Chuck, yes, caught that too... What he forgot when I spoke to him while he was here was it was "an all new single throttle body intake system for the small block." I wish they'd let me fact check before they publish.

I think you guys are referring to the Quota. Since it has two butterflies that required synchronization (not easily done like the two TB systems), I'm not sure I'd call that a true single throttle body. I called it a mechanics nightmare to get it right. I'd consider the guy that wrote the article correct.
