Picked up my V7 Stone (black) last week and I LOVE it.

That said I am nitpicking a little after having thumbed though owners manual this weekend...

First - the toolkit that came with bike seems incomplete. It has only two hex wrenches, no spark plug socket, and no open ended wrenches....I can' t verify if it is incomplete because the manual doesn't even mention the kit (the 2012 V7 classic does).

Second - has anyone noticed the difference in engine torque specs Euro vs US...see bottom of page on: (http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcyc ... 7Stone.htm). Is this a US emissions thing? Can they be tuned back to Euro spec?

Third - dealer said the shop manual for 2013 models is not out yet... :( Anyone have one? I'm assuming there is one since it's been out in Europe for a year now.

Also....Online Guzzi states 5.8 Gal/22L (including 1Gal/4L reserve) online and at dealers, but owners manual then says only 5.55 Gal/21L with 1.06 Gal/4L reserve. What happened to my additional 0.3 Gallon?

...and they continue to claim the V7's have a CARC (reactive) drive. I called them on that a few months ago and corporate acknowledged the discrepancy (but have failed to remove claims from specs).

Cape Cod, the earlier V7 bikes had a better tool kit; spark plug socket, wrenches, combo screwdriver, front axle "tool", etc.

But we all know you have to supplement it with a large number of your own tools, of better design/quality. I made some aluminum alloy replacement axle tools, and am still working on the perfect tool kit.

Is it possible your tool kit was just made up short? You know, assemblers had wine w lunch that day, and all that bit.

The tool kit that came with my 2012 V7 is the same as CCs. I just shrugged my shoulders and moved on.

My new stone tool kit contained 2 allan keys a double ended screw driver and a tool for the rear shocks.

I suspect that both Euro and US bikes have the same performance but are measured at different RPM. If you look at the Dyno chart (rear wheel output is shown here)this bike might well have 60Nm at 2,800 rpm and 58Nm at 5,000 rpm at the crank. http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/88682/Mot ... rison.aspx

I can not totally fill my tank. There is an airspace which I think might account for the missing liter.

To find, out I ran it empty (until it would not run with what fuel was in the tank) today and could only put 19.5L in filling it to the top holding the bike upright. I had traveled 440km. that's 4.4 L/100km. I traveled 45km on reserve. So my Stone appears to have a 19.5L tank, 17.5L + 2L in reserve with a total highway range of 440km :(

45 km (27miles) isn't much of a reserve. Is that measured from the fuel light "full on"?

And thanks for "taking one for the team" and running until dry. I'm ok with a range of 264 miles (440 km) as by then I'm ready to get off for a break.
