so I put down my brand new stone... Womp womp. Probably should have started on a used bike. Anyway I'm looking for some parts and I was wondering if the 2015 can use parts from a 2013 specifically the kickstand and headers? Also where is a good place to get new stock parts? Through the dealership? Thanks you guys

We all do it, so don't feel too bad. If you're talking about USA 2015 (non-ABS), then, yes, I believe these parts are interchangeable. It's really useful to have parts manuals on hand, they're readily available for downloading HERE
There are many online parts sources, with good prices and fast delivery. Among the ones I've dealt with and like are MG Cycle, AF1 Racing, and Harper's.

Everybody drops a bike. My Norge with 600 miles doing a U-turn in my drive. I wonder if the headers are interchangeable as the 2015 engine is moved which would change the angle to attach to the mufflers.
I dropped my V-Strom with 60 miles on it taking it off the lift in the garage. Forgot to put the kickstand up. Fortunately it is made for drops like that and no damage.

The moved and re-angled engine is for the 2015 NON-USA (ABS) models, which will be marketed as 2016 models when they arrive in the USA later this year. The 2015 USA models have the same engine location and angle as the earlier ones.

Sib, I revised your link above... I have an extensive library of Manuals online here on this site. Appreciate you keeping it local instead of linking people away.
As noted, only the '16 models (V7 II - not yet released) will have the new engine mount/config. I can't imagine most parts won't be interchangeable.

thanks for the info giys. This is how I understoood it. Non abs, same engine location so the header and most everything will fit. Prices aren't so bad for the parts I need. But why is a kickstand so expensive? 160 bucks seems steep.
