Okay...I need help...

As I am going thru the service manual (B043094) for the V7 Stone as I love reading them so I can expect what I need to expect when the time comes, I can't seem to find the torque value for both the gear shift lever & brake shift lever for the Stone.

It listed and drawn for the Racer, but I can't seem to find the Stone/Special????

Help...?

Also, where can I find the torque spec for things like spark plugs & engine components?

I came off a Jap bike so was used to them...not sure if Guzzie every listed them?

Sorry for the noobish question but I really do not want to break things if I over/under tighten the important parts.

Guzzi does not show torque values, and if you find any, don't trust them. Use a bolt size to common sense check, but best is to have someone with a lot of mechanical experience help and direct you.

Edited: Just realized my own mistake with my own reply...:lipssealed:

Got spoiled with my Jap bikes with I never had to re-gap them before :nerd:

The service manuals give some torque values (including a few incorrect ones) but not all of them. I'm happy to see that the latest version of the V7 engine service manual finally shows the correct final torque values for all of the head bolts.
The service manuals don't give the correct spark plug torque value because they haven't been updated from the previous, larger thread diameter spark plugs. However, NGK states that the correct value for their CPR8EB-9 pug is 10-12 Nm. They also state that these Ni-plated plugs don't need anti-sieze goop and that it shouldn't be applied. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the Spark Plug spec!

Right now I am basically going back and forth between my Honda Shadow Manual and the V7 Manual I got and see if there are any inconsistency of the torque value for lots of bolts as...well, dry thread bolts SHOULD all torqued the same.

Now speaking of the latest version of manual, where and how did you obtain...Can you please share if you don't mind :)

I don't mind purchasing a manual as long as the values are correct...for the most part.
