I have a 2016 Eldorado and due to my parking / living arrangements its been parked outside all winter ,
I do keep it covered with a Nuzari bike cover.
the aluminum wheels are showing lots of white pitting stains .

I used Mothers metal polish ,
The metal polish didnt do much to remove the stains but the rest of the rim is shiny again.
then I put a coat of wax on the rims and didnt wipe it off.

I have hand polished then waxed these rims a few times,
but its getting to be a real pain to babysit these wheels.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to protect the finish?
Why didnt they clear anodize these rims or put some other more durable metal protection on the wheels

As an aside i found that after waxing the wheels WD40 works great to clean the whitewalls .
Spray the WD onto a microfiber towel then wipe the whirewall the dirt comes right off and the rubber looks bright white again.

I use Autosol on mine but it is garaged and the climate in South Oz is a lot milder than a lot of places. I went with black tyres last time, now it only takes 1/2 the time to clean it.
