2016 Stelvio NTX in the Garage

Hello All, New to MG and to this Forum. I obviously have some questions, 1st where and how do I get a service manual ?
Welcome Glenn,
You can download manuals and parts lists from AF 1 Racing out of Huston, TX or TLM in the Netherlands.

Congrats on the new bike! How do you like the Lava Red color? Having not seen one up close (yet), it's kind of hard to get an idea of exactly how "red" it is. I guess this is the first time I've ever seen matte red...
I thought it was red when I ordered it but it is actually more orange and looks sharp. Get lots of compliments on the color... And the bike followed by. What is it.?

I posted a couple Youtube videos( sorry don't have a link for you.
One was taken in my garage and one outside in the Sunshine , you can really see the color .

Finally got a chance to watch the videos you posted. That red is gorgeous in the sunlight!

Cool. Why did you go with the Oxford grips over stock MG grips? Do the Oxfords wire directly into the MG harness or do you have to cut and splice.

I ordered the bike with MG heated grips. Dealer told they where bad ordered till spring. So spliced the Oxfords into the Stock wires. Controller works fine. 1/2 the price too.

Yeah, the Oxfords look better than the MG's listed on their site anyway. What model Oxford did you go with? The Sports?

And they are hotter than the stock ones which is the best part. Stock ones in Canadian spring and fall are useless. I too have the oxfords and even with some Grip Puppies over them they are still plenty hot.

Yes it was canuck1969 that put me onto them and confirmed they would work with the MG controller. Thanks a lot canuck .. any yes they are Hot. almost too hot on the highest setting.

Love the red, hope that colour eventually makes in down to Australia, do not like the current matt green.

A friend of mine was after a new Stelvio, "apparently" John Sample Automotive will not be importing the model anymore.
Two different dealers have told him the same information, one in Brisbane the other in Melbourne.

Hope it was just typical dealer crap talk.

Worrying indeed !....The Stelvios are not that popular here in Australia, with only a rare sighting of same on the roads. The Adventure bike of choice is the BMW...........They are like 'Arses," everyone has one !

Looks as if I should grab one whilst they are still around, as I certainly cannot justify purchasing the German bike (although they are very good) for double the price, by the time panniers etc are fitted !

I do like the Aprilla Caponord 1200, which is a similar price, however, I WANT A SHAFT DRIVE !

Anyhow, thanks for the information.......Hopefully, it is "Hard Sell Dealer Dribble"

Cheers
Brooksie

That's is really too bad. The Stelvio will not give up much if anything the GS. Except maybe some of the electronics and creature comforts.
I did a 488 km ride yesterday with some DL1000s and a couple 1250s Bandits. We met up 80km from my house. They all filled up, and then later topped up again to make it home. I fill up this morning. 27.L still 5 L in the reserve. . Butt was ready to ride a couple more hrs.
