My V9 is a 2017 but i bought new in 2021. The other day, riding along at about 20 MPH it just died - like I had turned off the key. No lights, no nothing. Dealer now has it and hasn't found issue yet. Battery, connections, etc. all fine. Any thoughts?
8.20.22 Update: Dealer found the problem. Failed ignition. Trouble is, it must be ordered from Italy and it's August so they're on vacation and it's not in stock so there goes my summer. Just FYI. At least they found the problem which is more than the Honda dealer could do with the last Honda I had which is why I traded it at 63,000 miles: it wouldn't run.
9.12.22. Update. Got the bike back. New ignition. New keys. Unfortunately, the old keys, including a $50 extra key I purchased are no longer any good with the new ignition. So although the warranty covered the ignition replacement a) I had to wait a month for it and b) I have to buy another $50 key if I want an extra to go with the 2 I got with the new ignition. I always keep an extra key at home and an extra key in my wallet in case I lose a key while on a trip. It has happened. Hopefully the bike will run trouble free for a while. So far 1) a failed rear seal in the drive and 2) a failed ignition system. The bike now has 7052 miles.
