A gap between seat and tank after adjusting seat?

Good evening,
This is my first post here , i hope you will be gently to me...
I'm the very proud owner of a red Stelvio from 2010. :p

I've adjusted the seat how i like it the best , but now there is a gap from about 1 cm between the seat and the tank. When i sit in the bike and i look down i can see the top of the battery.
I'm afraid that when it will rain (and it rains frequently in Holland) it will destroy my battery and other things under the seat.
Anyone who has the same problem and knows a fix? Maybe a piece of rubber or something??

Andy, I assume you have it in the high/top position, yes?

If there is a gap, nothing below will be impacted/damaged. The battery is a sealed unit, only the battery terminals (+)(-) might be corroded quicker then normal. Sure you can slide a piece of foam rubber or equal in there if it makes you feel better about it.

Enjoy the bike... I'm sure you'll love it.
