Abrupt throttle response

Let me start by saying that I pretty much love everything about my 2013 NTX. I've got about 2K miles on it and the one issue I have is with the throttle response when going around tight corners in 2nd or 3rd gear between 3.5k and 5k on the tach.

After I throttle down for the corner and then add throttle mid corner, the bike kind of lurches forward as the motor comes back on harshly. I don't know any other way of explaining it other than to say that it reminds me of my '68 Triumph Bonneville when it had the Amal carburetors on it until I swapped them out for Mikunis.

My mechanic loaded a new map a month after I purchased it (around August) and that helped a little but not much.
I try very hard to use as little throttle input as possible but it is still there and it throws off my timing. I don't think I should have to work so hard to control this.
Any thoughts

It does taking some getting used too...FI torquey engine off the start. What does help is to make sure the throttle cables are adjusted as tight as they can be without causing an issue. Extra play in the throttle leads to a herky jerky throttle response.

My 2012 is like that also. I put the O2 optimizers and the PC-V on it and it smoothed out the throttle a lot. But I took that stuff of as I am going another way with the fueling and timing.

It is something you can get used to, just have to use a light hand. :D

Adjust your entry speed so that you are on throttle from the beginning of the curve. This will make for smoother cornering. If your entry speed is correct, you should only gain 2 to 5 mph on exit.
