Just got it firing!
I'm kind of picky when it comes to luggage on motorcycles. Todd has many fine offerings for lockable side bags, and to be honest, the Orbitz side cases https://www.guzzitech.com/store/product/orbitz-side-case-set-22-liter-for-c-bow/ for the c-bow mounts look like an outstanding solution at a very fair price. If I were starting over, I'd likely go with the Orbitz and save some time and effort.
However, I'm picky remember. With the Orbitz being a clam shell design, and having a slightly modern look, I kept eying a set of Givi E21s I had lying around. The E21s are top loading and I think they fit the look of the V7 a little better. Givi, unfortunately, does not offer a set of mounts for the E21s on the V7.
So after measuring, bending, measuring, cutting, measuring, welding, measuring, grinding, more measuring, you get the idea. Here we are.
I'm pretty happy with the results, but still need to road test for vibration and wind effects. As my forum name suggests, I often combine two of my biggest passions, motorcycling and fishing. These cases should be a welcome addition allowing me to take the Guzzi to the many lakes and beaches all over the west coast.
Keep the rubber side down,
Tony
