Looking at getting a mistral muffler (carbon fibre, conical) for my 8V Norge from MG cycle, however they quote the same part number (same muffler) for both the 4V model and the 8V model. This doesn't make sense to me, I would have thought they would be two different mufflers, as just for starters the 8V has a cat under the bike which the 4V doesn't.
Can anyone comment on whether this could be correct or not, also if anyone has any experience with this muffler as well I would appreciate your thoughts

Thought I'd post my thoughts although I don't have the 8v Guzzi. I do have an old 2005 Breva with CAT and I too worried about the Mistral exhaust I had with it as the CAT was removed. But there isn't a problem, it's all OK. Don't know the tech side but for MOT etc... and performance it doesn't matter apparently. So I've put the original muff back on but without the CAT as I like the look of it. I've not noticed anything! But haven't done a fuel eco check on one over the other or noticed a performance boost at xxxx RPM as I don't ride like that or put on enough miles yet.

Hopefully a more tech answer will come up but the add does say Norge 1200 4V and 8V and it's Mistral so should be good to go :)

We will be building the first GT-Rx meg in the next few weeks (thanks Joe), and it does not appear that the 2V muffler is a direct swap for the 8V. As stated, the 8V uses a Breva 11 colostomy bag, but even it is different.
