While chasing down electrical problems on my 98 Cali, I found a small plastic box tied onto the frame in the battery box. I noticed that the wires coming from the box went to the wiring harness but were clipped into the harness with aftermarket crush clips. The decal on the box said Badlands Motorcycle Products. I looked it up on the internet and found out they supply aftermarket Electronic Turn Signal Modules.
I did notice that the LED turn signals on the bike were weak and dim, But according to all the write up on Badlands, this module was supposed to create a "firestorm" of light on the rear of the bike as it is supposed to take the brake switch and power up the rear turn signals along with the brake light, but still allow turn signals to work. Reading further into the applications one very important bike name is missing on the compatible metric bike listing.... you guessed it, MOTO GUZZI.
So now the task is to locate all the factory turn signal wiring and surgically remove the module, find a turn signal relay socket and wire it back to factory.
I just might be a certified Guzzi wiring tech when I finally get this thing back to factory condition, Oh still looking for that Ducati made alternator for this bike..
