Agostini Carbon Fuel Injector Covers Cali 1400

Hello,

FYI MG makes an actual heat shield. They are shown in the AF1 catalog. (expensive)
I don't know how much the carbon fiber will help but looks pretty good.

I put them on my Custom several months ago. They get very warm but you can touch them for an extended time without worrying about getting a burn. I find them to be a significant improvement over the metal ones. Here's a picture:

Looks good MJ, I assumed the carbon fiber was not as conductive with heat as the stock metal shields, that's for the confirm.

MGMike, the pair are around $200.

What are you referring to that MG makes that substitute for these shields?

The only ones I have been able to find on the net were the Agostinis.

MGMike, thanks for the quick reply.

I saw those but they don't appear to be intake heat shields, more like cylinder heat deflectors.

The best I can glean is that they mount directly behind part of the finned cylinder and allow the heated air passing thru the fins to be directed out and away from the legs.
