Does anyone remember which fuel filters will fit other than the OEM from MG? I know I've seen this info somewhere! Thanks.

Hi Joe

I knew it would be you with an answer. That means I'll have to rejoin the group again and you know I'm trying to cut back on the groups I'm in!

Cheers Mate

Fuel Filter 3rd party all metal filter is better than OEM plastic/metal filter

Models with an in-tank filter.

All-metal Mahle KL145, used on BMWs, is a good choice.

Interchange with: Triumph - T1240850 / AC GF61 / BMW - 16 14 2 325 859 / Fleetguard FF149 / Fram G2 / Knecht Mahle KL145 / Motocraft FG-2 / Napa Gold 3032 / Purolator - F20011 / Wix 33032

... from the Yahoo Database site.

Hope it helps with the question - if not, perhaps moderator may delete this post?

I have about 14k miles on the Napa 3032, no problems so far. (Ooh, looks like I'm due for a change on my next service.) Used Dorman 800-306 crimp type line clamps.

Paxo,
I understand, the number of websites can be overwhelming.

The important point is to not get one of the notorious half-metal half-plastic ones. They had a high failure rate, and I bet plenty are still sitting on the shelf, ready to be sold.

Joe

Hi All and thanks for taking time to reply. I found a UK source for the metal bodied Mahle KL145 fuel filters at;

opieoils.co.uk

tel. 01209 215164 (option 2)

Their prices are so reasonable I ordered 2. (Not telling how much but MG would be very upset!). Hope this helps.
