I have the head and cylinder off my 2010 V7 to repair a head gasket leak. And I thought now would be a good time to replace the resilient "oil flange" that communicates with the oil gallery coming up through the cylinder and distributes oil to the rocker shaft.

However, I'm discovering that this item is not stocked by the Guzzi dealers and lead time is some 4 to 6 months--wow!.

My "oil flange" is still pliable and there is no visible damage, so I'm tempted to reuse it. What have other folks been doing in this situation?

Thanks!

Jason

Same old smallblock heron head oil post is 10 euro at TeoLammers in EU. Not big, light weight, how soon you want it?
I will bet the guy in MO has them in stock, been the same part since 1978.
If you swap I would get the clips and all associated parts.

What do you mean by "swap"?

Curtis Harper is a great guy but his computer system, even this new one he started using a couple years ago, doesn’t always work right.

Just call him on the phone. He still answers it every day. He’ll get you right as rain and pointed in the right direction.

Great suggestion, I'll call him tomorrow.

In NE states Jim Hamlin of Hamlin Cycles may have them.
I would think they would be reusable for a good long time.

Apologies Todd! I looked on the store and didn't see them so I figured they weren't something you had or messed with.

I'm like V700Steve. We were just trying to offer the most expiditious solution and didn't mean to slight the STORE.

Thanks, I know and appreciate it.
I don’t stock everything, but my inventory has grown exponentially in the last 7.5 years. I mostly stock items for small and big blocks from the CARC model years and forward, especially wear and tear or CEL inducing items. I have extra oil stud reducers because of all of the big bore kits we’ve done over the years, and blown engine small blocks due to low oil levels. They litter my shop these days.

I looked too and came away with nothing.
So where are they in the "store" and how much?
Not directed at you, but I've said probably a hundred times on this Forum; If you don't see it, email us via the STORE > CONTACT tab; Sales @GTMotoCycles.com - we don't have the people power to keep everything online, especially OEM parts.
