Looks like things should cool off big time by Tuesday, won't even need to leave early in the AM to encounter great temps up in the local mountains (meaning real mtns, not the so-called SMM). Anybody interested/available to head up there from Tues on? Note seems to me sign at Newcomb's said now open Thurs-Sun, plus of course Wrightwood "available" all the time. Thinking to take the 1000S up, be sure everything in order before I take it to SLO not a rally 7/30-8/1.

Went up today, to Wrightwood & back. pretty nice, though not as cool as I was hoping. Just starting up, om Lower Big T, saw a black Griso coming the other way. Anybody here? Speaking of Lower Big T, lots of road work/repaving at the bottom, finally. A bit of a mess today, but it'll be a lot better than it has been soon enough.

Yeah, sure, finally our schedules mesh. I'll take the Norge, see how the re-flashed ECU runs at altitude. Meet at the Starbucks just past the intersection of Oro Vista & Sunland Blvd sound good? What time? Anytime from, say, 9:30 on works well for me.

We're pushing our meeting time to 10:00, if anyone else is available to join us. Yeah, Bob's got the life, but I have to earn my day off by making up the time over the preceding two weeks-- works for me!

10am, Starbucks, Sunland (Oro Vista and sunland blvd.)

out.

Great ride, Bob!

Stelvio was running really well-- had a great return run down 9-mile. How was your return? Haven't done it in almost a year. Let's do it again soon.

My return was uneventful. No LEO's, no "Oh crap" moments. Again? Sure, whenever you are free, until the snow flies up there. With the years it was closed, it'll take a heck of a lot of runs up there before I get tired of it.
