Anyone replace an ignition switch ('15 V7 Stone)?

So an ambulance clipped my two week old V7 and knocked it over while it was parked and locked.
No big deal, BUT....
The column lock needs to be replaced and, from what I can tell, is an integrated part of the ignition switch.
Does anyone know what the deal with the key is? Either it comes with a new key (and I have to buy a matching seat lock mechanism?) or I have to swap the cylinder over. Or something.
Thank you in advance.

First, congrats on the V7, and welcome to the GT Forum & Famiglia. Yes, the steering lock is integral to the ignition set up, and it comes with new keys, along with the fuel cap and seat latch lock. be sure to replace them as a set. See the parts list under the Resources tab above. Also, is the lock pin bent, or the part where the pin slides into the frame?

From the look of things it's the housing around the pin that has cracked.

I ordered P/N GU32782510 - the steering lock
But now see that I MAY need P/N 883477 as it seems to include the seat and fuel lock.
Thanks for the info!

Cheers

XTN,
Have you tried removing the broken lock yet?
My son and I just picked up a total loss '15 V7 Stone, and the steering lock and ignition switch was jammed.
Locking pin was bent, I'm making a new one for him (retired toolmaker/design engineer).
But, and this is a big one...the steeringlock and ignition are held in place by an 8mm cap screw and another 8mm screw that has been modified to be tamper resistant. The tamper resistant screw has no hex socket, and the cap is machined (by the factory, I assume) into a cone shape. That cone shaped screw head lives inside a counterbore in the steering lock casting.
Lacking a small dremel at home, we use a pin punch to slowly loosen and remove the tamper resistant screw.
If I had a dremel at home, we could have ground a slot in the screw head and backed out the screw with a straight blade screwdriver.

Good luck removing your lock/switch.

Oops, just noticed the post dates, oh well, maybe my info will be useful for someone else...

For anyone that needs to remove the steering lock, here is a view of that funky, tamper resistant screw head.
And here is a photo of my son's "total loss" V7 Stone...it'll need to have the dents in the tank repaired and the steering lock, but that's about it!!

Going this route to replace the ignition switch on my 2013 V7 Stone with a motogadget m-lock. Tried a repair to the wires which the solder broke on but now it seems the contacts are dodgy. Rather than replace the switch (and three locks) with no guarantee the ignition will be any better in the replacement I’ll change the system. No steering lock but they are a bit effete anyway. Presently stripped down the top yoke and measuring up to 3D print a housing for the m-lock.
Dremel was the way to remove the tamperproof stud. Good suggestion.
Now to re-frequent myself with basic CAD to export the design to the 3D printer. Oh the joys…. 04261CB9 0B1F 4E8B 9A1A C359C9680ECF 8D46EF3C 0B4F 489A AEED 85DFE03A11D2 32C63142 6D77 48A4 A1D8 CBD464E47805
