Hi, two questions :

1. How good is the traction control on these bikes and has anyone ever lost control of the bike due to grip issues.
2. Is it true that you can lean these bikes until the pegs scrape without risk of losing traction ? I mean on optima road conditions of course.

The traction control is excellent even tho personally I have always turned it off.
When turned off it will lose grip especially in wet weather.
Turned on & set for the most sensitive control & ride mode in Piaggio (Rain) it won't lose traction ever.
Even in #2 setting & ride mode in Sport it won't break loose.

With stock tires you can scrape many parts with better tires you can scrape more. even in non-optimal road conditions.

Thank you! Just to confirm, which bike of yours (model) are you referring to. Also may I ask why you prefer to keep the TC off?

Turning off Traction control refers to the Guzzi 1400 & The Victory Cross Tour & any bike I buy in the future.
I'm really old school when it comes to "electronic intervention" on motorcycles.
I know sometimes I upset people when I say: "Just learn to ride".
If a bike is so powerful that a person needs that type of control then maybe they should not own that bike.

Riders need to lock up the rear brake & learn how to control a slide, borrow a dirt bike & go play for a day & that will build skill.
The skill needs to be turned into muscle memory & that comes from repetition, not so different than martial arts.

As far as scraping parts goes that is for just about every bike I have owned except for the Guzzi Griso I have never scraped on that bike.
Come to think of it I don't think the Mille has ever touched down either.
