Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced mechanic in Austin? I have a 1979 g1000 and it's backfiring and running hot on the left cylinder. Can't afford to take it into ducati dealership!

Also AF-1 just up the road in New Braunfels (Sp.) are very good. They are primarily an Aprilia dealer but now carry Guzzi but seem willing to work on just about anything. They had a fine selection of repulsive old munt in the workshop last time I was there including an RD400D Yammy! Now anyone who is willing to work on old stink-wheels has to be good value!!!! :mrgreen:

Austin moto classics is $80 p/h - not sure what a fair rate is but I'll probably check them out as they're in Austin.
