Any Guzzi riders that will be in Austin for the GP weekend, how about an evening meet somewhere on Thursday or Friday evening? I'll be staying North or Austin, but I'd be happy to meet where ever. Recommendations?

Sound off below.

p.s. I can bring my ECU re-flash kit with me for anyone so interested.

That's a tough one.

I've lived in Austin for 28 years. A lot of people will suggest something downtown, but parking can be a real PIA. So questions:

- Looking for a place that's bike friendly? I suspect we will see a lot of 'fly-ins' so I imagine we'll have a bunch of people in cages.
- How big of a group do you expect?
- Two places with local flavor come to mind - Chuy's for TexMex (There are several so I would vote for the one on North Lamar) or Threadgill's, again on North Lamar.

Unfortunately I have to fly out to a meeting Sunday so I'll miss the race (crappy planning on my part). I'd be delighted to help coordinate something for Thursday or Friday night.

Af1 Racing is the local Guuzi dealer. I'm sure they have some activities planned for race weekend.

Are you going to have time to ride when you are down here? Central Texas is a great place to ride and late April is the perfect time. If you are up for a couple hundred miles Friday PM me and I'll see if I can arrange a short tour.

Yes, thanks for posting. My good friends are the ones that started this movement, do you know Robert?

I am riding my Green V11 Sport there from Okla. Staying with a freind, plan to be at AF-1 social. Head to Kerrville and ride 3 Sisters on Monday.

I'll be staying at my brother's in Round Rock. Will try to get by AF1, there is a twtex.com BBQ Friday night. Lots of time at the track (obviously), my riding will mostly be to and from Austin.

Three Sisters Monday will be great - nice weather, no traffic.

OK, as I'm sure this week will be a whirlwind, I'm posting here one last time, but always feel free to reach out to me direct e-mail. I too am staying in Round Rock, arriving Wednesday night. Friday day track, night I will be at AF-1, and most likely at the track on Saturday, but I may stop by this; http://austinmotofest.com

I'll drag my software for ECU tweaks if anyone is so interested.

Do post below, as I'll try to check in here this week before I go, and of course once I arrive.

Hey Todd! Sorry to be a kill joy but I'm pretty sure the Austin MotoFest was Saturday the 13th only. Here's the link for the dates; http://www.austinmotofest.com/dateplace

My bro and I will be arriving @ 0800 Sat morning coming in from Houston. I'd really enjoy meeting you finally. PM me your ph# so we can hook up!

Ah, so apparently my Austin friends are getting the weekends confused. I see that now, thanks.
PM to follow.

Trying to come up with a plan for Thursday evening. Roughly where are you staying.

Would like to round up some Guzzi folks for dinner Thursday.

Willie

I'll be in Round Rock each evening. I'll be on a Guzzi thanks to Jack/Profwacko, so rather not ride in the rain, but I'll be with my IT guy Frank for this site, and we'll have 4-wheels as needed of course.

Would Chuy's in Round Rock be OK with you. 8ish?
Works great for me, any other takers? See you there! I'll have my Guzzi hat on. Best to make reservations or no need?

Final update, venue shift:

Baby Acapulco's ~8pm. It's on the southbound I35 feeder just south of US290.
Our Guzzi friend Jack will be playing there tonight.

Sorry, still in Houston as of Thursday night. I'm trying to shake a cold so an extra night at home and I'm also trying to sort out a battery that tops out at 12.2V.

I'll be at the track by Noon Friday for afternoon practice. I'll have my GT shirt on one of the days!
