Backrest Mod

Ok here is the first of many mods to come to get this bike just right. My wife has a bad back, which is part of the reason we got the EV-T in the first place. Anyways the stock back rest pad was not going to cut it as any major bump would hurt her back and a good ride would make it sore for a few days. I looked high and low at all the other alternatives out there, thinking it was really stupid to replace the whole luggage rack just to get a new backrest.

This wound up being a real simple project (so far) to adapt a Harley backrest pad to a stock Guzzi backrest frame. I used 1/4" plexi to fab an adapter plate. By tracing the outer edge of the backrest cover located at the back of the bike onto my plexi sheet I had a perfect sized insert to bolt the pad to the frame now. The I gauged the frame holes and transferred their position

Well done.

I wouldn't wait too long to make the adapter out of something more durable. I'd suggest aluminum plate since it won't rust.
