Hi all
It's been a while since i was last on here  I did have a Breva 11 but with my knackered back and dodgy right shoulder I thought it was time to downsize :( .So out went the Breva and in came a V7 classic :D .
Well i'm really impressed, yes it's not hurried in the performance dept and handling has some room for improvement but what a delight to ride  .
Guzzi have done a great job in the retro look I know there are people out there thinking 'hmm it'll never be a V7' but hey its good looking well built and no doubt more reliable!.
It was a decision between a Triumph Bonneville but a test ride on one was sadly dissapointing considering they are up slightly on power !!.
I found the V7 alot more eager to get up n go and felt better balanced and lighter :) .
I miss the Breva but as soon as i get out on the V7 it's a distant memory!!!!!.

Take care out there!
Cheers
Cliffy.

here's a cut and paste from banter on the motoguzziclub.co.uk. Seems your not alone in your path to a V7, must be great minds think a like. I'm still happy with my IOM Pete Deadman sourced B11- except for the vibration which I put down to the mistral xover hitting the frame at the o2 sensor.

well after 13 continous years of having a Guzzi in the garage and the odd one or two back in the 80s I sold my 1100 Breva about six months ago , as truth to tell I never really bonded with it unlike all the other Guzzi's I've owned and went the rice burner way with a V- Strom which I must say is a very excellent m'bike it does it all efficientley very rapidlly and very comfortabley ......and soulessley so I got me a lttle Enfield EFI which I love riding ,great fun and cheap as chips to run but unless you got unlimited time a European trip on a schedule ie one or two week holliday not really quick enough to cross countries THEN the other week on the "clocks forward rally" I heard once again as I sat by my tent that lovely guzzi music thump thump thumping as various bikes came and went in and out of the field accelerating up the road in a roar as only a Guzzi can do so what am I blatting on about here you ask well put simply I went home and sold the rice burner ordered a new V-7 classic and can't wait for it to arrive ,Donny boy's come home again to Guzzi land, it was a long lonely six months .Don
