Bike Stalling After Filling Tank Every Time

Hi... Every time I fill the tank lately and start going again I find the bike is stalling out whenever I let off the throttle or come to a stop. Its as if there is a fuel shortage or vapor lock or when the tank is full. I will say it has only been occurring since I removed and replaced the fuel cap assembly so is it possible that unit has something to do with any of this?

first you need to tell us what year a bike is. even Guzzi occasionally changes things. most likely you answered your own question. I suspect you clogged / closed over the vent. I haven't had one of these caps apart yet so can't say for sure.
 
Probably overfilling the tank which causes excess gas to flood the evap cannister & then get sucked in as raw fuel.

Run her down to 1/2 tank & if the problem stops then it's from over filling.

A lot of owners remove the vapor cannister & some where on this forum are instructions on how to do it.
