:) :) I know it's a poor photo (my lady Guzzi lives outdoors - that's my Vespa behind!) but I wondered if any of you out there had considered coating the rocker covers black?

I had a rebuild or two (see elsewhere for those stories!!) and noticed that the grey paint was bubbling slightly above the exhaust headers and I was going to get them powder coated again, and while I was setting it up I thought that Id take the plunge and do them black.

I have to say I'm delighted with the results and all my mates agree. Maybe Guzzi ahould have done this themselves? Just my opinion. :)

Funny you should bring this up. I was just thinking the other day how cool the black Stelvio would look with red rocker covers like the Motus MST V4 below:

I did think about red, but I reckon the black is better. Love the black NTX, GT-rx. Doesn't the new Stelvio have black grab rails? I know it has black pannier mounts. Anyway, thanks for the approval guys.

Yes it does have black grab rails, and the surrounding plastic (which I too wanted to do before I saw it on the new Stelv). I forgot to say that I also coated the foot peg brackets and did the Stucchi aluminum bash plate in black wrinkle finish.

GT-Rx , Niiiiiiiice. Almost makes the black one look as good as the red.....

I have the Quill - yours looks like the Mistral. Lovely sound, crackly overrun, 69 - 72ft/fb from 2,800. What's the difference?

Oh yea, got my approval! Now I have to get mine done .. dang it ... more money! And Todd, nice photo from Dantes View.
Thanks, and will we see you up there end of this month?

I'm gonna try really hard! I'm riding to Reno for the Red Bull Air Races leaving this Wednesday evening and returning the following Tuesday. That would be the weekend before DV. Then the weekend after DV I'm going camping with the Son-in-law in the Bishop area. So it will depend on how sick the wife gets of seeing me ;)
