Blued pipes on my SP

I just got some NOS aftermarket head pipes for my SPII and installed them while I had the tool box open I did the tappet clearence, headbolt retorquing dance,also thought balancing the carbs were in order. After all was said and done it ran better and sounds awesome but now my ''new'' pipes are blue like my old ones were. Last year I did upgrade to 36 mm PHF and installed them to Euro Spada specs, it was lean then I went up one size on the mains. Why did my pipes go blue this time? any Ideas to check would be appreciated.
 
I did paint the inside of pipes with High-temp BBQ paint as I have always done with new pipes. The new pipes are the double wall type.

Blue pipes is what they should be like. Just means it is running right. If they don't turn, you are way too rich.

If you are worried about too lean, read the spark plugs. If they are light tan or darker you are good. Just so they aren't bright white with black spots you are fine. The black spots would be metal from the combustion chamber.
 
By Euro Spada jetting I'm assuming you mean for the SP III as these were the only model to come out with 36mm PHF carbs. If so it will be too lean as the SPIII used lean burn carbs and yours are probably 'Conventional' Check by looking down the venturi. If there is a horseshoe shaped 'Shroud' around the atmospheric side of the atomiser orrifice they are lean burns, if there is no shroud they are 'conventional' and I;d suggest starting off with Mk I/II Lemans jetting.

Plugs look fine, they are about the color of my wives biscuits after she used to the new oven. I went on a little 100 mile journey yesterday after I posted and checked the plugs again and they still look great and the pipes have not gotten any more blue. I guess if the blue starts to bother me I will have to do the silver ceramic coating. Thanks for the help.

Actually I had a brain fart and ment to say Strada, and according to my manuals these Bikes had 36mm PHF carbs stock.
